You Can't Have it all

but you can have a house in the east coast
with a parking lot filled up with bicycles, scooters and skates, like if it where the Rally Store.
You can have a sixteen year old brother everyday asking for money if your parents dont have any.
You can have a garden filled with orange, pink,white, purple and green flowers, looking like heaven you see in the movies.
you can have a bathroom filled with your mothers makeup.
you can have a teacher that pushes her classroom, like horses being whipped to race.
you can have the feeling of satisfactory,
but what you cant have and shouldn't feel is regret.
you can have the wrong things that happen in life be a lesson.

Once sentence summary: Kaysen is talking about when she was 18-years-old her experience of being in a psychiatric hospital; how she ran away from home and attempted suicide, she went to a doctor and told her she was going to stay in McLean(hospital) for a few weeks and stayed there for two years, many patients did not want to leave the safety of the hospital.

First Sentence: People ask, How did you get in there? What they really want to know is if they are likely to end up in there as well.

First chapter review: they are talking about how she is in a hospital and about her roommates and all of her friends and many of their problems. then about how people slip into a parallel universe, like: world of insane, the criminals, the cripples, the dying, and the dead as well.

Verdict: i think this was some amazing book, it was easy to read and it was long but short at the same time. i enjoyed reading it.

Cover Comments: The cover is divided into two; a blue and a white side, but they both are the same picture of a girl. i think it means like what they said at the first chapter about the parallel sides, like the good and bad also.
